What It Means to Be Found
Being found is more than simply belonging to a religion or agreeing with a set of ideas. It’s about encountering the living God who knows you, loves you, and restores you.
In Luke 15, Jesus said heaven rejoices when the lost are found. That joy is not about rules kept or rituals performed—it is about a broken life made whole, a restless soul finally at peace, and a heart finally at home.
Found in Different Ways
Each of us is found in a unique way:
The Wanderer
Who once believed but drifted is found when God’s grace gently calls them home again.
The Seeker
Who followed other religions is found when they discover Jesus is not one god among many but the way, the truth, and the life.
The Skeptic
Who thought science disproved faith is found when they realize the created world points to a Creator.
The unbeliever
Who never gave God a thought is found when they suddenly recognize His hand has been guiding them all along.
Being found is not about what you achieve—it’s about what God has already done for you through Jesus Christ.
The God Who Restores
When the prodigal son returned home, he expected to be treated as a servant. Instead, his father gave him a robe, a ring, and a feast. That is the picture of restoration.
God doesn’t just forgive; He restores. He doesn’t just welcome you back; He calls you His child. To be found in Christ is to live under His love, His grace, and His truth.
Found, Yet Still Growing
Being found is not the end of the journey. It is the beginning. Just like a sheep brought back to the flock must learn to follow the shepherd’s voice, those who are found learn daily what it means to walk with Christ.
